Four-on-the-Floor
Four-on-the-Floor is a rhythm pattern in 4/4 time in which the drummer hits the kick drum on all four beats of the measure while the snare hits on the backbeat. It may be found in numerous styles of music, but was popularized on early Motown recordings.
