Filter Capacitor
- A capacitor that is used to remove noise, glitches, and RF interference from a power line, to smooth the output of DC power supplies, to filter unwanted frequencies from audio or RF signals, as components in speaker crossovers, and other applications. Different filtering tasks use specific types of capacitors, including electrolytic (power rails), ceramic (RFI), wound plastic film (mains power), and more.
