Factory Preset
These are programs and/or patches (including combinations, layers, and splits) for every synthesizer, sampler, and effects device that are created by the manufacturer's in-house sound designers and programmers, and sometimes by contracted third-party developers. These presets are generally meant to give users a good idea regarding the overall capabilities and sound quality of a particular piece of hardware or software.
