Equipment Rider
- An equipment rider is a list that delineates the equipment and sound reinforcement needs that will be required for an upcoming performance or event. The rider can be as simple as requesting a DI box for an acoustic guitar performance, or as complex as listing the number of amplifiers, console channels, outboard gear, microphones, direct boxes, and types of connectors needed for an event. An equipment rider may also include a list of backline equipment and instruments a band travels with, stage setups, patching diagrams, and a projected input list. The equipment rider is usually provided by the artist or band and distributed to everyone involved in the production.
