DB-9
- A type of D-Sub connector. Similar to DB-25, but a smaller 9-pin version. Like the DB-25 it is commonly used for RS-232 communications. This type of connection is commonly used on a variety of audio and video equipment for synchronization purposes. It is often referred to as 9-pin, which has become a bit of a generic name for multiple synchronization standards.
