Buzz Track
- Film sound is of paramount (no pun intended, but pretty clever when you think about it) importance to the flow of a film. When a scene is shot with dialog as the only source of sound, it can create unnatural silences in a film. A buzz track is a soundtrack that contains the ambience of low background noises, which helps to alleviate those silences. Buzz track also refers to film that is used to test a projector and make necessary adjustments to the light emission passing from the exciter bulb which stimulates the soundtrack.
