Band Reject Filter
A filter designed to stop a set band of frequencies from passing. It's essentially the opposite as a Bandpass filter; similar to band-limit filter, but (depending upon who you listen to) different in that a band reject filter typically pulls from the middle of a range of frequencies whereas with a band-limit filter it's often implied that the limited frequencies are taken at one or both ends.
