3-point Edit
A term taken from video editing and applied to audio editing. A 3-point edit is one that has a "source" region where the beginning and ending points are specified, and a destination at another point on the track or on another track where only the insert point is specified. Typically, 3-point edits are used to insert new material into an existing track, with the old material in the existing track either being replaced or pushed farther back in the time line.

Our Customers Say...

Ninety-five percent of everything in this studio came from Sweetwater. My Sales Engineer is a lifesaver. I started working with him around 2005, talking to him about what my vision was for the studio. He was right there all the way.
