Featuring Adjoa Skinner!

Join us for an evening of incredible music! Our friends from AEA are coming to town to show off their line of impressive ribbon microphones and preamps. The evening will include — but won't be limited to — mic shootouts, mic placement techniques, and preamp selection. You will have the opportunity to hear the differences between condenser, moving coil, and ribbon microphones, as well as how to use them most effectively. These concepts will be further demonstrated right before your eyes via live performances and recordings by singing sensation Adjoa Skinner.
About the artist:
Vaudeville singer/songwriter Adjoa Skinner (pronounced Ahhd-jew-ah) is a performer, session vocalist, and musician living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Discovered by producer Charlie Peacock, she was awarded the Sapere Grant through the Wedgwood Circles Angel Investment Group, was voted "Top 3" vocalist for classical Voice in the Mezzo Soprano NATS state competition, and won the 2008 SoCal Acoustic Top Female Artist award. Her new CD Songs for Tall Women and the Short Men Who Love Them features an eclectic mix of jazz, folk, pop, and Vaudeville influences, showcasing her versatile voice and multi-instrument talents.
