Sweetwater offers a number of competitive benefits programs for full-time employees. These programs provide a core level of benefits with options for additional benefits designed to fit you and your family's needs. Upon meeting the service dates described below, you may be eligible for one or more of the following programs.

Financial Benefits

401(k) Plan
Sweetwater offers a flexible 401(k) plan with a company match.

Profit-sharing Program
After completion of one year of employment, employees are eligible for the profit-sharing program.

Employee Purchase Plan
After 90 days of employment with Sweetwater, employees are able to purchase equipment at cost as listed in the inventory record from the company (not cost + 10% as is common with most other retailers).

Relocation Assistance
Sweetwater may provide new employees assistance with relocation expenses such as a rental truck, packing materials, hotel stays (if needed), meals, gas, tolls, etc. In addition, we have a number of realtor and apartment complex contacts to help in locating housing.

Health and Income Protection Benefits

Group Health Insurance
Full-time employees are eligible for the company’s health insurance plan after 90 days of employment. Coverage for spouse, child, or family is also available at additional cost.

Dental Insurance
Full-time employees are eligible for dental insurance plan after 90 days of employment. Coverage for spouse, child, or family is also available at additional cost.

Flexible Spending Medical Reimbursement Account
The Flexible Spending Account allows you to be reimbursed with Company money for out-of-pocket health care expenses that you incur.

Flexible Spending Dependent Care Account
An employee may elect to have up to $5000 per year set-aside on a "pre-tax" basis to pay for dependent care costs.

Employee Assistance Program
We recognize that personal and family issues can impact your life both at home and at work. To assist you and your family, the Work-Life Matters assistance program offers experienced counselors available by phone.

On-site Wellness Programs
Sweetwater offers a variety of voluntary on-site health screenings, and other health related programs.

Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Full-time employees receive $15,000 of term life insurance and $15,000 of accidental death and dismemberment insurance at no cost to the employee.

Time Off and Vacation Benefits

Vacations
Full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation annually after the first year. The length of an employee's continuous employment with the company determines the number of paid vacation days earned in a work year.

Holidays
Full-time employees are granted paid holidays after they have completed 90 days of employment.

Sick/Personal Days
Full-time employees are eligible for sick or personal days once they have completed 90 days of service.

Funeral Leave
After 90 days of employment, full-time employees are entitled to take three days off with pay when a death occurs in the immediate family.

Jury Duty
After 90 days of employment, full-time employees will be assured of their full salary in conjunction with the stipulated amount paid by the State in the event that the employee is called to appear for jury duty.

Community Benefits

Sweetwater Activities Committee
A percentage of company profits are given to this committee's fund to plan Sweetwater functions for employees and families. Examples of events have been amusement park trips, company picnics, holiday parties, Thanksgiving turkeys, etc.

Sweetwater Advantage Card
We have partnered with a number of local restaurants and businesses to offer discounts on their services. Each employee receives a laminated card listing these discounts.

Free Tickets
Throughout the year Sweetwater offers employees free tickets to Fort Wayne-area musical and dramatic performances, sporting events, and other productions.
