|Sweetwater Hires 11 New Employees|
| Music Technology Retailer Adds Four Sales Engineers
Fort Wayne, IN, June 6, 2011 - Sweetwater, one of the leading music instrument and pro audio retailers in the world, recently hired 11 new employees. Four are new Sales Engineers and four are from outside Indiana. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 397.
Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack said, "We plan to continue, for the foreseeable future, to hire talented and dedicated young people interested in music and music-making to help us provide world-class service and expertise to our ever-increasing customer base."
Sales Engineer T.J. Bechill received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from the University of St. Francis, a program that Sweetwater helped to establish four years ago. He is originally from Wauseon, Ohio.
Sales Engineer Jim Cooper is from Houston, Texas and has a degree in audio engineering from Houston Community College.
Sales Engineer Nathan Malone is a native of Stafford, Virginia and received an Associates Degree in Recording Arts, and a Bachelors in Music Business, from Full Sail in Orlando, Florida.
Sales Engineer Troy Watson grew up in Lafayette, Indiana and attended Purdue University before transferring to The Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, where he received his Associates Degree in Audio Production.
Copywriter Lee Andrews is from the St. Louis area where for eight years he served as Chief Editor and Marketing Manager for Mel Bay Publications. He has authored 23 books comprised primarily of instruction on "anything with strings."
Receptionist Emma Gemperline is attending the University of St. Francis, majoring in philosophy.
Receptionist Emily Polakovic is attending the University of St. Francis, majoring in business.
Taylor Fredricks has joined the Downbeat Diner staff. He is attending IPFW, majoring in communications.
Kelly Dahms has joined the Downbeat Diner staff and is studying culinary arts at Ivy Tech.
Academy of Music Administrative Assistant Rita Terry will be graduating from IPFW in December with a degree in general studies.
Academy of Music Administrative Assistant Amelia Stauffer is attending Indiana University majoring in speech pathology.
