Sweetwater Hires Nine New Employees
 
Music Technology Retailer Adds Four New Sales Engineers -

Fort Wayne, IN, April 1, 2011 - Sweetwater, one of the leading music instrument and pro audio retailers in the world, recently hired nine new employees; four are new Sales Engineers, three of whom are from outside Indiana. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 406.

Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack remarked, "Sweetwater has an ongoing program to invest in its workforce, particularly in the sales area. We continue to hire the best and brightest young people interested in music and music making to help us reach an ever-growing customer base and to provide first-rate customer service and technical expertise."

Sales Engineer Keith Goodwin has a bachelor's degree from MTSU in music entertainment and a master's in business administration from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. His most recent job was in purchasing for the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.

Sales Engineer Jake Damm comes from Fairview, Montana. He received an associate's degree in recording arts and then a bachelor's and a master's degree in music business from Full Sail.

Sales Engineer Chris Carter is from Bridgeport, West Virginia. He recently completed a bachelor's degree in recording industry production from MTSU as well as an internship with Moon and Stars Productions in Nashville as an engineer.

Retail Store Sales Engineer Brian Lemert is a Fort Wayne native and very well known to the Fort Wayne music community. He has worked at Music Star and B-Sharp Guitars and is a performer and guitarist as well.

Copywriter Michael Getlin previously worked at Sweetwater as a Sales Engineer. He has also worked for Todd-AO/Glen Glenn studios and ran his own company, GetlinMedia.

Copywriter Mark Brody has rejoined Sweetwater in the Marketing department. Mark had previously been with Sweetwater for nearly four years as a Sales Engineer.

Shipping Specialist Tyler Meehan is from Garrett, Indiana, and is taking classes at IPFW, majoring in music technology.

Shipping Specialist Steve Graham is from Fort Wayne and most recently worked for PWC Fabrication as a fabricator.

Shipping Specialist Trevor Krall attended Ball State University and IPFW, majoring in fine arts.
