|Sweetwater Hires Twelve New Employees|
| Fort Wayne, IN, October 15, 2010 - Sweetwater, one of the leading music instrument and pro audio retailers in the world, recently hired 12 new employees. Eight are new Sales Engineers, five of whom are from outside Indiana. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater above the 400 mark, to 403, for the first time ever.
Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack said,"We plan to continue, for the foreseeable future, to hire talented and dedicated young people interested in music and music-making to help us provide world-class service and expertise to our ever-increasing customer base."
Sales Engineer Christopher Geissler is from Jackson Center, Ohio, where he ran his own service company, Sound Advice, specializing in the repair of keyboards and other audio equipment.
Sales Engineer Aaron Smith is from Argyle, Texas. He is a recent graduate of Media Tech Audio Institute in Dallas.
Sales Engineer Ryan Ziolkowski is from Kansas City, Missouri. He has an Associate Degree in Recording from Full Sail in Orlando and a certificate in audio engineering from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona.
Sales Engineer Nick Lindeberg is from Englewood, Colorado and is a recent graduate with a BS in Recording Arts and a degree in trombone performance from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Sales Engineer Nate Richter is from St. Clair Shores, Michigan and has a degree in music technology from Wayne State University.
Sales Engineer Nick Walmer, a Warsaw, Indiana native, attended Ball State University, majoring in composition and business.
Sales Engineer Marvin McNew is from Huntington, Indiana and a graduate of Huntington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He has been a middle school and high school band director in the Whitko school district and an adjunct professor of music technology at Huntington University.
Sales Engineer Scott Colter is a Fort Wayne native and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in education.
Sales Assistant Sara Hood recently moved back home to Fort Wayne after five years in Dallas, Texas, where she worked for Bank of America.
Sales Assistant Yolanda Vega is from Mexico but moved to the U.S. in 1997. She is currently attending Ivy Tech, majoring in accounting.
Customer Service Representative Aaron Bettinger is originally from Taiwan. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University.
Jarvis Foster is Sweetwater's first full-time trainer. With 18 years of professional experience, he has worked with clients at Spiece and Southwest Fitness and most recently for Anytime Fitness. He has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama, along with numerous specialty certificates in functional movement, performance enhancement, and martial arts.
