Sweetwater Hires Seven New Employees
 
Music Technology Retailer Adds Downbeat Diner GM and a Copywriter -

Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, recently hired 3 new full-time employees and filled 4 part-time positions. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 353.

Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack remarked, "Throughout this year, Sweetwater has continued to invest in its workforce in order to continue to provide the best possible service to our customers, both locally and nationwide."

Belinda Plank, the first General Manager of Sweetwater's Downbeat Diner ran the successful Family and Friends Cafe at Times Corners for over a decade. As General Manager, she will oversee front-of-house and kitchen operations, and food management, among other duties.

Copywriter Phil Selman is a new addition to the team of writers in Sweetwater's Marketing Department. He was previously employed in 2006 as a Sweetwater Sales Engineer and returns after completing a BA in English Writing from East Tennessee State University, which complements his Associate Degree in Music and Recording Technology from Madison Media Institute.

Service Department Specialist Kevin Banas recently moved to Fort Wayne from Spirit Lake, Iowa. He has an Associate Degree of Applied Science from the Institute of Production and Recording in Minnesota.

Part-time Shipping Specialist Lori Giffin has been employed by Stumps for the past 6 years as a merchandise handler.

Part-time Shipping Specialist Josh Cross is attending Ivy Tech and majoring in Business Management.

Part-time Shipping Specialist Evan Larr will soon receive his Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems from Ivy Tech.

Part-time Shipping Specialist Heath Ruble is a guitarist and drummer and a voice student at Sweetwater's Academy of Music.
