|Sweetwater Hires Nineteen New Employees|
| - Music Technology Retailer Adds A Dozen to its Sales Force -
Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, recently hired 19 new full-time employees. Twelve are new Sales Engineers, ten of whom are from outside Indiana. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 356.
Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack remarked, "Sweetwater is continuing to invest in its workforce, particularly in the sales area, because we are very optimistic about the future of the music technology and instrument retail market."
Sales Engineer Mike Baldonado is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a graduate and instructor at The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. He is a jazz horn player.
Sales Engineer Brandon Eden is from Oxnard, California, where he worked at Fry's Electronics. He has a BA in Music and Sound Recording from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Sales Engineer Justin Fairfax is a native of Norwalk, Iowa. He has an AAS degree in Audio Engineering from the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis.
Sales Engineer Joey Herrington is originally from West Unity, Ohio. He is a graduate of the Full Sail Recording Arts program in Winter Park, Florida. He has worked at Nob Hill Records, Guitar Center and, most recently, with Digidesign in San Francisco as a Test Engineer for the Pro Tools 8 project.
Sales Engineer Jeff Payton is a recent graduate of The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. He also has a B.A. in Music Marketing from the University of Ohio.
Sales Engineer Adam Pearson comes from Carbondale, Illinois, where he earned a Masters degree in Media Arts from Southern Illinois University. He also has a B.A. in Mass Communications from Illinois State University.
Sales Engineer Andy Reierson hails from Monticello, Minnesota, and is a recent graduate of the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis. He is a guitar and bass player.
Sales Engineer Ron Rust recently retired from Chrysler in Kokomo, Indiana. He has been both a studio and live musician, and also a live sound engineer, for the past 25 years.
Sales Engineer Ryan Scherb is from Duluth, Minnesota. He has earned certificates from McNally Smith in St. Paul and The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, and he recently completed a B.A. in Music at The University of Minnesota-Duluth. He has also completed internships at Signet Sound Studios in Hollywood and the Weber Concert Hall in Duluth. He is a pianist.
Sales Engineer Dave Shaw has a degree in computer information systems from Eastern Illinois University and received his certificate from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. He is from Decatur, Illinois.
Sales Engineer Jeremy Wright is from Seymour, Indiana, and has earned certificates in Audio Engineering from Vincennes University and the Conservatory of
Recording Arts and Science in Tempe. He has toured with James Taylor, Sheryl Crow,
and Three Dog Night, and was most recently a regional manager with Auralex Acoustics.
Sales Engineer Patrick Ziders is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a classically trained percussionist. He received his B.A. in Music Technology from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
Sales Assistant Abbey McKeever is currently attending IPFW, majoring in Health Services.
Accounting Assistant Denver DeSeranno is pursuing a business degree at IPFW and has 13 years of experience as a revenue processor at Sirva.
Shipping Specialist Joby Adams has an Associate of Science degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail Real World Education in Winter Park, Florida.
Shipping Specialist Rick Graber is pursuing a bachelor's degree at IPFW.
Shipping Specialist Andy White is from Roanoke and has experience in shipping and receiving.
Shipping Specialist Drew Edmondson is studying criminal justice at Ivy Tech. He is a volunteer firefighter and police cadet for Allen County, and has worked for the Saxton Group as a nurseryman.
Shipping Specialist Ray Cruz is studying health care administration at Brown Mackie College for Health Care Administration.
