Fort Wayne, IN - Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, recently hosted Summer Rock Camp 2009, an opportunity for kids 12 to 18 years old that have playing experience on guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, or vocals, to join a band, write songs, and perform live.
Rock Camp was presented in early July by Sweetwater's Academy of Music, a music instruction facility featuring brand-new teaching studios with state-of-the-art equipment, the finest local professional instructors, and a world-class performance theatre.
Young musicians enjoyed learning how to play along with other musicians, writing original songs together, and even recording their material in Sweetwater's recording studios. The camp ended with a concert performance in front of a live audience in Sweetwater's Performance Theatre.
As Sweetwater's Academy of Music Director, Kelly Lentine, explained, "Rock Camp was the experience of a lifetime for young musicians dreaming big.
