|Sweetwater Hires 31 New Employees|
| - Music Technology Retailer Adds 12 Sales Engineers -
Fort Wayne, IN, September 24, 2008 - Sweetwater, the fourth-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, according to Music Trades magazine, recently hired 25 new full-time employees, plus six part-time employees. Twelve new Sales Engineers were hired. The new hires bring total employment at Sweetwater to 350, up from 317 since the beginning of the year.
Sales Engineer Paul Salveson is from Nashville, Tennessee where he owned several studios and most recently was president of SalvoMix, a Grammy-winning tracking and mixing studio. He has worked on five Grammy-winning records in the gospel music field. He graduated from The Recording Workshop in 1983.
Sales Engineer Nathanael Davenport is from Layton, Utah where he was a private studio owner and musician. He has a B.S. in Music from Brigham Young University and has played in a number of jazz ensembles.
Sales Engineer Jonathan Rhum is from Kokomo, Indiana and majored in Psychology at Indiana University. He is a musician, small studio owner, and has four years experience in music retailing.
Sales Engineer Chris Hoffman is a Fort Wayne native and recent graduate of Huntington University, where he graduated at the top of his class in business. He is a keyboard player and leader of two different praise bands.
Sales Engineer Reuben Brenneman is a Fort Wayne resident and familiar to many on the city's music scene as a stellar bass player. He has an AAS in Business Administration from Ivy Tech.
Sales Engineer Chris MacKinnon has a Bachelor's degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music. He has worked as an engineer at Drumlin Downe Studios in New Hampshire.
Sales Engineer Jim McGowan comes from Colorado where he owned his own recording studio. He is a graduate of The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Sales Engineer Kevin Robery was in charge of video and audio production for Awana Clubs International in Park Ridge, Illinois. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
Sales Engineer James Williams earned both a Bachelor's degree in Business and an Associate's degree in Recording Arts from Indiana University.
Sales Engineer Phil Ferguson is a recent graduate of the Commercial and Electronic Music Arts program at Western North Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree.
Sales Engineer Mike Conyers has an AAS in Music Technology from Calhoun Community College in Huntsville, Alabama.
Sales Engineer Mike Harris is from Atlanta, Georgia and has spent the last ten years as customer service manager for a marketing company while freelancing with a recording studio.
New full- and part-time employees were also added to the Marketing, Technical Support, Service, Security, Food Service, and Shipping departments
