Sweetwater Hires Twelve New Employees
 
- Leading music technology retailer continues to create new jobs -

Fort Wayne, IN, October 16, 2007 - Sweetwater, the fourth-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, according to Music Trades magazine, has hired a dozen new employees, five full-time and seven part-time. This brings the total of Sweetwater employees to 290, up from 257 at the beginning of 2007.

Co-op Advertising and Media Manager Marc Silver has an extensive background in marketing and advertising, much of it as a marketing director. He also has 30 years of experience as a performing musician and music educator. He is the author of the book Contemporary Guitar Improvisation, which has been endorsed by world-class guitarist George Benson. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and Wayne State University. He and his wife are moving to Fort Wayne from Schaumburg, Illinois.

Application Development and Database Programmer Tom Swenson was born and raised in Chicago, but has recently relocated from San Mateo, California. He has worked for Apple Computer and has owned his own computer programming business.

Sales Assistant Joy Justice is originally from Leo, Indiana and moved back to the area recently from Los Angeles, where she was an administrative assistant in real estate. She has a degree in telecommunications from Ball State University.

Projects Specialist Keith Pautler is a graduate of Ball State University and has several years of experience working with local high school bands.

Maintenance and Repair Specialist Kent Tressler has 28 years of experience in the Fort Wayne area repairing and servicing a wide variety of commercial equipment and applications.

Six part-time Shipping Specialists and a part-time receptionist have also joined the company.

Sweetwater Founder and President Chuck Surack remarked, "Sweetwater continues to hire high-quality individuals from throughout the country as we near completion of our new campus on US Highway 30 West. We're very much on track to reach 300 employees by year's end."
