|Sweetwater Creates Thirteen New Jobs|
| - Leading music technology retailer adds to leadership team -
Fort Wayne, IN, June 4, 2007 - Sweetwater, the fifth-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, according to Music Trades magazine, has added four new full-time and nine part-time positions, bring total employment to 280, up by 23 from 257 at the end of 2006. Three of the new employees have moved to Fort Wayne from out of state.
Director of Information Technology Mike Lentine was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He started Lentine's Music with his father in 1977. Sweetwater purchased the assets of Lentine's earlier this year.
Sales Engineer Chad Van Brocklin comes from Flint, Michigan where he was the assistant store manager for the local Guitar Center. He is also a drummer, studio engineer, and producer. He is a graduate of The Musician's Institute of Hollywood, California.
Ria Wood is Sweetwater's new Front Desk Manager. Ms. Wood is from Fort Wayne, has a business degree from Indiana University, and was a branch manager for Key Bank in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jeff Steeg has joined Sweetwater as a studio engineer. He is a Fort Wayne native and a recent graduate of the Recording Arts program at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He served an internship with Sweetwater two years ago.
Additionally, nine new employees will fill part-time positions in the Sweetwater Shipping Department.
Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack said, "We're excited to be bringing more new talent to our company. We're on track to increase total employment to 300 by the end of the year."
