The website will retain its Digital Pro Audio name and URL, but will be linked to Sweetwater's main website at www.sweetwater.com.
The purchase of Digital Pro Audio's assets is Sweetwater's second acquisition since the beginning of the year. In March, the company announced the purchase of the assets of Lentine's Music, a music instrument and equipment retail chain based in Akron, Ohio.
Digital Pro Audio, with the slogan "High Tech, for Less," specializes in reasonably priced, but sophisticated recording equipment, including studio workstations, mixers, monitors, microphones, headphones, portable digital recorders and MP3 players.
In addition, the website features performance-related equipment, including mixing boards, wireless systems, amplifiers, microphones, DJ equipment, and podcasting systems, plus a wide variety of musical instruments, electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, synthesizers, and drum machines.
