| Sweetwater Experiences 20% Job Growth In 'O6 | |
| - Leading music technology retailer creates 50 new jobs - Fort Wayne, IN, January 2, 2007 - Sweetwater, the fourth-largest music instrument and pro audio retailer in the world, according to Music Trades magazine, and one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, announces phenomenal job creation during 2006, with total growth of 20%, from 207 to 257 jobs, including 16 new jobs since the company moved to its new headquarters on Highway 30 W in early November. The majority of the 50 new employees have relocated to Fort Wayne from outside Indiana. Rob Russell is the newest Sales Engineer at Sweetwater, making him the 99th member of the burgeoning sales force. He comes from the Chicago area and has a wealth of experience with several large studios engineering rock, R&B, and gospel bands. Rob also spent a number of years in L.A., where he was the recording engineer for acts signed to both Capital and A&M Records. Printing Coordinator Blaine Yoquelet recently relocated back to Fort Wayne from Florida. Prior to joining Sweetwater, Blaine owned Veritec Printing and has more than 18 years of experience in the printing industry. Copywriter Mark Hutchins is originally from Defiance, Ohio. He has a degree in Radio, Television & Film from Bowling Green University. He has been a staff writer for various newspapers and for the past few years has been writing for Fort Wayne's WhatzUp magazine. The following employees have joined the Shipping Department: Paul Bills, Jesse Cook, Kolt Handy, Jeremiah Hughes, Mike McCreary, Kyle Meinika, David Nieman, Travis Sliger, Zach Stotler, Ryan Van Horn, and Joe Wasson. New Sweetwater receptionists include Jen Anthony and Alexandra Green.
