|Sweetwater Adds Nine New Hires To Staff|
| - Leading music technology retailer continues to expand top-quality sales team -
Fort Wayne, IN, July 26, 2006 - Sweetwater, the industry leader in professional audio and musical instrument retail, announces that the company has expanded its sales staff with nine new Sales Engineers and Sales Assistants.
Michael Rancourt, from Bangor, Maine, joins the ranks of Sales Engineers. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Engineering from The New England School of Communications. Rancourt worked as a Pro Tools Certified Audio Technician at Live Track Productions in Bangor, and is a performing keyboardist with six CDs to his credit.
Sales Engineer Don Burleson comes to Sweetwater from the Seattle, Washington area, where he gained over 22 years experience as an audio engineer. He is a graduate of the Sound Master Audio/Video Institute in Hollywood, California, worked at several large studios in Los Angeles, California including Paramount Recording, and mixed live sound at such legendary venues as the Troubador and Whiskey A-Go Go. Burleson also has experience in customer service and inside sales with Nintendo.
Michael Fisher, Sales Assistant, is a Fort Wayne, Indiana native and a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where he earned a degree in Telecommunications. He is Pro Tools-certified, and worked as a Master Control Operator for WIPB-TV, the PBS affiliate station in Muncie. Fisher also did audio and post production for a number of student films while at Ball State.
New Sales Engineer Matt Brough arrives at Sweetwater from Costa Mesa, California. He is a graduate of The Conservatory for Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, with studio experience with Soundelux Studios in Hollywood, California, and a number of years experience at Guitar Centers in California. Most recently Brough was the assistant store manager for the large Fountain Valley Guitar Center store in Orange County.
Tyler Gill is a Sales Engineer and an Indianapolis, Indiana native who graduated with a degree in Music Engineering Technology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. While attending Ball State, Gill worked in the school's extensive studios there, and served as Assistant Project Manager and Clerical Supervisor for John Klipsch Consulting.
Kevin Knapp, who joins Sweetwater as a Sales Engineer, is a graduate of Full Sail's Recording Arts program, and holds a degree from Park University. He spent 2-1/2 years in the United States Air Force as a meteorologist, and has worked in sales and management with Best Buy, Circuit City, Gateway, and Comcast. Knapp is originally from Southgate, Michigan. His musical experience includes a special focus on game audio.
Sales Assistant A.J. Becerra, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, comes to Sweetwater from the Marine Corps, where he served his country in Iraq as a Field Communications and Intelligence Operator. Becerra was in charge of all communications for large convoys of troops and experienced combat on several occasions. Prior to that he worked at both inside and outside sales, and attended Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne pursuing studies in audio engineering.
Jared Miller, Sales Engineer, is a Middlebury, Indiana, native and a graduate of Mediatech Institute for Recording Arts in Irving, Texas. Miller is the house engineer for LVD's Concert Hall in Goshen, Indiana, which features national folk and bluegrass acts.
Sales Engineer Jason Wolf was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. He is graduate of The Conservatory for Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. Wolf has worked at Guitar Centers in both Tucson and Orlando, Florida, and comes to Sweetwater after a stint at Disneyworld working in their vacations division. His musical credits include an appearance at the Kennedy Performance Center.
