|Sweetwater Receives Awards At NAMM Show|
| - Industry-leading retailer recognized by multiple manufacturers for outstanding performance in 2005 -
FORT WAYNE, IN, FEBRUARY 6, 2006 - Sweetwater, the music industry's leading retailer has been recognized by five manufacturers for outstanding performance during 2005. The awards were presented at the recent 2006 Winter NAMM tradeshow, held in Anaheim, California.
All five awards were in recognition for Sweetwater's tremendous growth and sales increases with the respective product lines. According to Sweetwater President and Found, Chuck Surack, "In 2005 we saw substantial growth in all areas of our company, and we're very pleased and proud to be honored by these manufacturers for our efforts on behalf of building our business and sales with them."
The five awards were:
Monster Cable: Monstrously Outstanding Achievements in Sales and Marketing of Monster Products by an Internet Retailer
ILIO: First Annual ILIO Product Award 2005, recognizing forward thinking ILIO Retailers who have distinguished themselves by posting the highest percentage sales gains of ILIO products in 2005 awarded to Sweetwater Sound, Internet/Mail Order Category
Parker Guitars: 2005 Top Dealer (the second year in a row that we've received this award)
Kurzweil Professional Products: 2005 Platinum Award, Dealer of the Year
Eventide: 2005 Dealer of the Year, presented to Sweetwater Sound in recognition of outstanding sales and support
"These five lines have done very well for us historically," adds Surack. "In 2005, we made a real effort to increase the awareness of the fine products each manufacturer produces, to let our customers know what a great value each was, and the outstanding performance they could expect when using them. Our focus is always on customer service, and we feel that educating and informing our clients about outstanding products is part of providing the best service we possibly can."
Surack sees no slowing of sales for these product lines, or of the growth of Sweetwater in future. "Our sales in 2005 were off the chart, growth-wise. And we fully expect that trend to continue in 2006 and for many years to come. I believe that Eventide, Ilio, Kurzweil, Parker, and Monster Cable will remain some of our best performers as we continue to grow. We look forward to advancing our relationships and business with each company in the coming years."
