| Sweetwater Names New Sales and Support Staff Members | |
| Sweetwater, the Fort Wayne, Indiana audio and musical instrument retailer, has added new members to its sales and support staff. Sales Engineer Brian McQuoid is from Boston, MA where he graduated from Berklee College of Music. For the past three years Brian has been Business Manager for Virgin Megastores in Boston. Brian's primary instrument is piano, but he also enjoys playing guitar and singing. Kevin Loughin has joined Sweetwater as Mac Administrator. Kevin is originally from Niles, MI and relocated to Fort Wayne 20 years ago, and he worked for Sweetwater founder Chuck Surack in the company’s original recording studio. Kevin's most recent position was Network Engineer for Duffy's Office Products. Mark Fowler, an evacuee from hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, has also joined Sweetwater as a Marketing Assistant. Mark studied at Berklee College of Music and was a professional musician for about 10 years. In New Orleans he was Manager of Tipitina's Foundation, which assists musicians and artists with technical services, business, tutoring, workshops, graphics, and music software and hardware. “We’re constantly on the lookout for qualified sales and support staff,” said Sweetwater founder and President Chuck Surack. The Fort Wayne retailer’s workforce numbers 210, and Surack estimates Sweetwater will add up to 120 new employees by 2009. ### |
