|Sweetwater.com Celebrates 10th Anniversary, Gets Complete Redesign|
| (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Sweetwater.com, the website for industry-leading retailer Sweetwater, is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has undergone a complete redesign. Sweetwater, which was founded 26 years ago, launched Sweetwater.com in 1995. Sweetwater.com has served the needs of musicians, recording engineers, producers, and recording studios and live sound companies from around the world for longer than any other retailer site.
Sweetwater.com, with its more than 64,000 pages of music and pro audio gear-related information, tips, techniques, discussion forums, and reviews, as well as a searchable KnowledgeBase and technical reference library, and the innovative Sweetcare™ 24/7 Support Page, has been acclaimed as one of the leading information resources on the Internet. In an article citing the "Nine Essential Online Resources" in the June issue of Electronic Musician magazine, Sweetwater.com was the only retailer site to make the list. The Sweetwater site shares the honor with such Internet stalwarts as Yahoo Groups, All Music Guide, and Usenet. The article singles out Sweetwater.com's inSync daily news feature, which has included thousands of technical tips for musicians and the "Word for the Day" glossary featuring almost 2,000 music and audio terms.
To increase ease of use, navigation speed, and clarity, Sweetwater.com has undergone a complete graphic redesign, and now offers an incredible array of new features, such as expanded gear buyer's guides, streaming videos, the newly revised and expanded inSync, and much more. The site's new look makes finding information and products even simpler, and clarifies the look of each page. Careful research and planning went into creating a look and feel for the site that would be friendly to users, yet would provide efficient navigation.
Sweetwater continues to experience record sales growth, driven to a large extent by the site, which receives several million unique visitors and many millions of page views per month. According to Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack, "Sweetwater.com has been an integral part of our company's presence over the past decade - we're thrilled to have the site reach this 10th anniversary milestone! With the vibrant redesign and new features, our hope is that the site will become an even more valuable resource to our customers and to the music industry at large."
