Sweetwater Adds Ibanez Firepower to Guitar Lineup

(Fort Wayne, Ind.) Ibanez, guitar maker for artists as diverse as heavy metal band Korn and jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, has welcomed Sweetwater as its newest dealer. Sweetwater announced that it already has many Ibanez guitars and basses in stock and on display at the retailer's online Guitar Gallery.

The partnership between the manufacturer and retailer is a natural according to Ibanez Director of Communications Paul Specht. "Sweetwater has an enviable and very deserved reputation in the music industry for customer service and product knowledge. Ibanez takes both of those qualities very seriously," he said, adding, "We are extremely proud to have Sweetwater represent Ibanez products."

Sweetwater founder and President Chuck Surack pointed out that the dealer is well suited to handle Ibanez. "Our Sales department probably has more guitarists per square foot than anywhere in the country, so we're tuned in to guitar players' interests," he remarked. Surack added that Sweetwater's wide variety of amplifiers and effects means, "We can put together a rig that will fit any playing style and musical genre."

Sweetwater's Guitar Gallery allows online shoppers to view photos of actual in-stock instruments. The website offers close-up body photos and full front and back views, plus detail shots of special wood grains and other unique features. Buyers can inspect in-depth the exact guitar they're considering. "We've removed the uncertainty of buying a guitar from an online retailer," said Sweetwater President Chuck Surack. "Shoppers can pick the actual guitar we ship to them. If they prefer one specific guitar's flame pattern, for example, they can choose that very instrument." The web address is www.sweetwater.com/guitargallery.

Instruments available from the Guitar Gallery are factory-fresh, immune from the wear and tear of retail store displays, where they may have been handled by hundreds of curious players. Each guitar also undergoes a 40-point setup and inspection before it is shipped to its buyer.

In addition to Ibanez, Sweetwater stocks guitars, basses, amps, and effects from Brian Moore, DigiTech, Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Line 6, Marshall, Martin, Ovation, Parker, Paul Reed Smith, Roland, Takamine, Taylor, VOX, Wechter, Zoom, and other manufacturers.
