|Mitch Gallagher Returns to Sweetwater|
| (Fort Wayne, Ind.) Sweetwater is proud to announce that Mitch Gallagher, former Editor-in-Chief of EQ magazine and Senior Technical Editor of Keyboard magazine, has joined its staff as Editorial Director. This is actually Gallagher's second tour of duty with the company - he previously served as a Senior Sales Engineer and later in the marketing department. "We're always looking to hire the best, and when the opportunity arose to bring Mitch back, we immediately jumped at it," said Sweetwater founder and President Chuck Surack. "He brings an immense amount of knowledge, experience, and talent to the company in a wide variety of areas."
"I'm thrilled to be returning to Sweetwater. There's simply no other company like it in the industry," Gallagher says. "The level of customer service, professionalism, and company expertise was amazing when I worked here before, but now the level here is absolutely unbelievable."
With nearly 1000 articles, two books, and hundreds of seminars and classes to his credit, Gallagher has established himself as one of the world's leading audio/music technology experts. At Sweetwater, his goal will be to increase the effectiveness of all of the company's marketing and sales communications, with a particular focus on educating customers about the latest techniques and technologies.
In addition to driving Sweetwater's stable of respected publications such as the ProGear Encyclopedia and SweetNotes, Gallagher will be overseeing content for the company's website, helping train Sales Engineers through Sweetwater University (which he helped found), and spearheading special projects.
"With his years of experience in the music and publishing industries, Mitch has developed a unique talent for communicating with audio professionals and musicians," continues Surack. "He understands what Sweetwater is all about, is a technology guru, and understands our customers thoroughly. Sweetwater had a wonderful marketing department before, but with the addition of Mitch, it's become a powerhouse team. With his help, we're looking forward to great advances in all of our marketing efforts."
