Sweetwater Launches Garageband Support Site

(Fort Wayne, Indiana) Sweetwater Sound has launched a new website to support users of Apple® Computer's GarageBand™ music recording software. The Guide to GarageBand page helps both aspiring and veteran musicians record, edit and mix original music tracks while shedding light on the essential tools musicians need to get the most out of their GarageBand experience.

Users who log on to www.sweetwater.com/feature/garageband will find clear, concise tutorials on basic GarageBand operation, arranging, recording and more. They can also browse and select from a variety of MIDI keyboards, microphones and other recording accessories to help them complete their personal music workstations.

"For 25 years Sweetwater has provided award-winning service and support to musicians, from professionals to beginners," says Chuck Surack, President of Sweetwater, "and our Macintosh® expertise makes us uniquely qualified to help today's musicians get the most out of GarageBand and realize their musical goals." Surack continues, "while GarageBand is an incredibly simple yet powerful musical tool, we recognize that the average GarageBand user may not know about the best way to get a microphone or electric guitar signal into their Mac, or how to choose the right MIDI keyboard to trigger GarageBand's onboard sounds. We created our Guide to GarageBand website to help answer those questions, and many more."

Sweetwater, an Apple Authorized Reseller for years, has designed and installed more Macintosh-based music studios than any other music retailer in the United States, according to Surack. Sweetwater's highly trained Sales Engineers - all musicians themselves, and all certified Apple Product Professionals - specialize in helping musicians understand their equipment needs and build music systems that fit their budgets.

GarageBand is included in iLife '04, the new generation of Apple's award-winning suite of digital lifestyle applications. iLife '04 also features major new versions of iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD. The revolutionary new GarageBand music application turns a Macintosh into a professional-quality musical instrument. iLife '04 is included with all new Macs, and the software is also available from Sweetwater for a suggested retail price of $49.
